Getting Started

Hello! Welcome to version 1 of the Stream API. This documentation provides the essentials for getting Stream running on a site, widget, or application.

Habit Stream's API provides several interfaces to integrate Stream content into your own site, widget or application. With all of them, you will be building Http requests to our API and then handling a response sent in the format of your choice.

To use the Habit Stream API, you must have your very own API key. Check out some of our formats and other examples that can be created with the Stream API in our Broadcast gallery.

All available methods, as well as any additional details (arguments, responses, error codes), are contained in the pages listed in the column on the left.
